Source control is very important for professional software development. It is necessary to manage your sources, have an opportunity to trace all changes, cancel wrong modifications and control group development. Some of these systems do not have tools for integration with Borland Delphi and Borland C++ Builder, therefore Athlant is the only instrument enabling to work with such systems directly from Borland environments. It is compatible with Delphi 5-7, C++ Builder 5-6 (Professional and Enterprise editions) and ModelMaker 7.

Athlant is flexibly integrated into the environment and enables you to have easy version control. Athlant automatically does a lot of operations, for example, you can set options for automatic check out/in of files and processing of dependent files, which are not included directly in your projects and synchronize the whole project with the source control storage by a single click. Athlants is integrated into the main IDE menu, toolbar, CodeEditor, Form Designer and Project Manager. This enables you to have full control of your files on any development stage.

With Athlant you can use different version control systems for different projects and easily switch among them without restarting IDE. Athlant also has an additional tool - AthlantDiff, which can be used with version control systems, which have no internal tool for visual file comparison, for example, CVS. Athlant is being distributed in three editions: Personal Edition, Professional Edition and ModelMaker Edition and you can choose the best solution yourself.

Athlant Professional Benefits

Athlant Professional includes Athlant Server with additional features enabling convenient group development: internal messaging system and an automatic function to refresh file states in all Athlant copies of your network. If a programmer changes the file state (if for example, they have occupied the file for editing by "Check Out") Athlant Server notifies all other programmer, who are using Athlant Professional about this. This permanently helps you to get actual information about all files.

Athlant Personal Benefits

Athlant Personal includes all general functions for source control and it is very convenient for developers, who are working alone. If you are working in a group, but you do not need the internal messaging system and automatic synchronization of file states, Athlant Personal can be also a good choice. This Athlant edition is smaller and cheaper.

Athlant ModelMaker Benefits

Athlant ModelMaker Edition (Athlant MM) is a freeware tool for ModelMaker. Athlant MM includes all general functions for version control: you will be able to save and control versions of your models, and be sure that old versions are not lost or other designers do not overwrite each other's changes. Athlant for ModelMaker 7 supports all basic version control functions and it allows you to connect to a storage, add and remove models to/from a storage, check models in and out, get the latest model version, etc.
